Renting, Timeshare and Accommodation (Apartments, Houses, Cottages, etc.)

Once you have contacted us, we will discuss your requirements in-depth and ensure that we book a unit suitable for your size and make up of party. We then require a 50% deposit plus a R150.00 booking fee for a timeshare booking or R270.00 for other accommodation to be paid to us within 24 hours. A reference number is given to you during our initial discussion and this is required to be quoted on the deposit form. Upon receipt of the fax copy of your deposit slip, we forward your confirmation together with a receipt for the funds deposited. We also advise as to when the balance of the funds are required. This is normally 21 days prior to occupation or by the 20th November for year end bookings. Cancellations of timeshare units are subject to a 15% cancellation fee and the re-letting of the accommodation. Cancellations made in less than 30 days will mean the forfeiture of all deposits if the unit cannot be re-let. The cancellation of Apartments, Houses and Cottages etc is subject to the following:

56 - 29 days prior to arrival forfeit 25% of total rental.

28 - 15 days prior to arrival forfeit 50% of total rental.

14 - 7 days prior to arrival forfeit 75% of total rental.

Less than 7 days prior to arrival forfeit 100% of total rental.

Timeshare Rental Costs

All units are rented on a week to week basis, normally Saturday to Saturday although some units at the Drakensberg Sun run Friday to Friday and the Peninsula in Cape Town and Sabie runs Friday to Friday. Rental costs vary depending upon the size of the unit and the period in the year. Obviously in season weeks that correspond with school holidays are the most expensive whilst out of season weeks start from approximately R3200 for a two sleeper self-contained unit. All accommodation costs reflect a saving of approximately 40% against hotel rates throughout the year. Your accommodation in any of the resorts entitles you to the use of all hotel facilities, entertainment and service. 

Accommodation Rental Costs - Apartments, Houses, Cottages, etc.

Prices range from budget out of season rates of R550 per day for four people up to R5000 per day for five star in season accommodation. Rates for luxury six sleeper beach-front apartments start from around R1400 per day out of season up to R3500 per day in season. Contact us for a firm quotation.

Giving a Timeshare Unit to Us to Rent

We quote a rental price, which is nett to you except for a small deduction for VAT ( R15.54 per 1000 ). Our commission is added onto the figure quoted to you. In the unlikely event that the amount achieved is less than that quoted, we will contact you prior to the final confirmation to obtain your acceptance. All funds are paid directly into your bank account during the week prior to occupation of the unit. December season payments are paid during the first three days in December. Arrangements can be made with us to pay your levy on your behalf against units, which have been let. You are required to sign an "Authority to Let" form which confirms that you have the rights of usage to the unit for the year in question. Units that have been spacebanked or placed in the hotel rental pool cannot be given to Quantum Sun for rental. Withdrawal of units from us can only be confirmed by contacting us to ensure that the unit is not already let.
